Our MISSION
The mission of the Tabletop Game Designers Association is:
- To promote the craft of tabletop game design through education and support;
- To advocate for the designers of tabletop games; and
- To build community among game designers.
Our VISION
Our vision is:
- A thriving community of game designers that support and learn from one another to create amazing games;
- A games industry that respects the labor and intellectual property of game designers; and
- A trade organization that helps designers navigate both.
Our Founding board
Geoff is a game designer, educator, and author. Game credits include Super Skill Pinball, Space Cadets, and The Expanse. He is the co-founder of the influential Ludology podcast, and co-author of Building Blocks of Tabletop Game Design, Achievement Relocked, and other books on game design.
Elizabeth Hargrave is an award-winning game designer whose games include Wingspan, Mariposas, The Fox Experiment, and Undergrove. When she's not gaming, you'll often find her hiking, birding, or collecting mushrooms in and around Washington, DC.
Sen is constantly dreaming, even when awake. He’s passionate about helping others lose track of time through meaningful play. When he's not working on games, Sen is teaching psychology and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Sen has co-designed many tabletop games including Akrotiri, MIND MGMT, and Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall.
