The TTGDA Leadership consists of a four member Executive Board and nine members of an Advisory Board.

Geoff Engelstein

President

Geoff is a game designer, educator, and author. Game credits include Super Skill Pinball, Space Cadets, and The Expanse. He is the co-founder of the influential Ludology podcast, and co-author of Building Blocks of Tabletop Game Design, Achievement Relocked, and other books on game design.

Sen-Foong Lim

VICE President

Sen is constantly dreaming, even when awake. He’s passionate about helping others lose track of time through meaningful play. When he's not working on games, Sen is teaching psychology and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Sen has co-designed many tabletop games including  Akrotiri, MIND MGMT, and Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall.

Elizabeth Hargrave

Treasurer

Elizabeth Hargrave is an award-winning game designer whose games include Wingspan, Mariposas, The Fox Experiment, and Undergrove. When she's not gaming, you'll often find her hiking, birding, or collecting mushrooms in and around Washington, DC.

Matt Leacock

SEcretary

Matt has been designing board games since he was very young and full time since 2014. He is best known as a designer of the award-winning cooperative titles Pandemic, Pandemic Legacy, Forbidden Island, and Daybreak. When he’s not designing games, he enjoys hiking his adopted state of California.

Fertessa Allyse

Fertessa Allyse is a Seattle-based game designer with several titles she worked on as lead designer and/or game producer such as: Book of Villainy, Wicked & Wise, Mansplaining, Goofy Movie Game, and Star Trek Cryptic. She is co-chair of the Seattle chapter of Women in Toys. She is also a contributor to the book, What Board Games Mean to Me.


Jonathan Gilmour-Long



Jonathan Gilmour-Long (he/him) is a Board Game Designer and Developer from NW Ohio. His credits include: Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game, Kids on Bikes, and Dinosaur Island. His greatest weaknesses are writing Bios, and the color green. He loves long walks on the beach and playtesting games. Sometimes at the same time. His favorite color is Orange, so please let him have that as a player color. His favorite games are Cosmic Encounter, Nations, and The Mind. His least favorite game is "The What Game Should We Play" game. He has four awesome children and an incredible partner with the goal of having a built-in game group any time he wants it. 

Matthew Hocker



Matthew Hocker is the designer of Composition and BitterSweet. He is half of publishing company Lunarpunk Games and also self-publishes under Coo' Games. He is the chairman of Break My Game helping to organize over 450 playtesting events each year. He likes hanging out with his sleepy and goofy greyhound, Yeti.

Marceline Leiman

Marceline is a freelance game designer, developer, and adjunct game design professor at NYU Tisch based in Brooklyn, New York. She has worked on games with North Star Games, Underdog Games, Office Dog, Clarkson Potter, Maestro Media, and Elephant Laboratories. and has acted as mentee in NYU Game Center’s Incubator as well as mentor for the Unpub Mentorship Program. She won the Diana Jones Emerging Designer award for 2025.

James Lowder

James Lowder has worked in tabletop publishing for more than three decades. He’s authored or edited RPG material and game-related fiction and comics for TSR, Wizards of the Coast, Steve Jackson Games, and many others. As an editor, he’s directed series such as Ravenloft and the Forgotten Realms, edited anthologies including Hobby Games: The 100 Best, and served as executive editor for Green Knight and Chaosium. His work has received five Origins Awards and two ENnie Awards, and been a finalist for the International Horror Guild Award, the Dragon Award, and the Stoker Award. His annual holiday Games to Gift segment has aired on Public Radio in Milwaukee since 2010.

Heather O'Neill



Heather O'Neill is the CEO of 9th Level Games, an indie tabletop publisher. She is also the Managing Director of UNPUB (www.unpub.org) and runs their speed pitching events to help designers get their games in front of publishers. Heather is also a game designer of Meeple Party, Schrodinger's Cats, Dreams of Yesterday, and the upcoming Aloha Earth. In her free time Heather likes to play tennis and travel. Danielle Reynolds

Danielle is a Project Director of Wacky Wizard Games by day, a game designer by night and an advocate for women and the LGBTQ+ community during it all. Game credits include HerStory, Secret Clue: Animals, Caution Signs and more! She also hosts the podcasts Game Design Unboxed: Inspiration to Publication and Proud to Gayme as well as holds board positions with Tabletop Gaymers and UNPUB. 

Tony Tran

Tony is the designer of Kiss the Goblin, and the founder of the Game Makers Guild of Nashville.

Cole Wehrle

Cole Wehrle is the designer of many games including Root, Oath, and Arcs. He is also a principal in Wehrlegig Publishing.
